Tottenham Hotspur left-back Danny Rose will play no part in this weekend’s Premier League clash against Manchester City due to a calf injury.
The England international has had a tough season due to fitness concerns and as a result, has been restricted to just 13 starts in all competitions.
In the Premier League, Rose has featured in Mauricio Pochettino’s team on just seven occasions.
The 27-year-old returned from a lengthy spell on the sidelines earlier in the campaign, but since then his season has been stop-start, partly due to injuries and also because of Ben Davies’s good form.
The Wales international was initially back-up to Rose in the left-back role, but since the injury problems struck, Davies has stepped up and made the position his own.
Rose has had his critics this season due to his public bashing of Tottenham prior to the start of the campaign.
Following news that the left-sided player is on the treatment table again, Spurs fans are wondering what the future holds for the player.
