da cassino: Millwall and Everton legend Tim Cahill has announced his retirement from football this week, with the Australian set to hang up his boots at the end of the season after a fantastic career spanning 20 years.
The 39-year-old made 217 appearances for the Lions between 1998 and 2004, scoring 52 goals – of which his winner against Manchester United in the FA Cup semi-final of 2004 will remain the most memorable amongst the Millwall fans.
The striker enjoyed similar success at Everton after securing a move to Goodison Park that summer but surely felt his business at the Den was unfinished and eventually returned to east London in 2018, registering a further 10 appearances.

Even on the cusp of his forties, the heading expert is still scoring goals at a professional level and has netted twice for Jamshedpur in the Indian Super League this campaign.
